Slate reporter Laura Jedeed describes experience of recruitment process and concludes it is ‘so sloppy that the administration effectively has no idea who’s joining the agency’s ranks’
I read that. She also mentions a $50,000 USD signing on bonus, and said her commanding officer said she’d be put on logistics for a time.
In this economy, one must wonder how long they could do less than mediocre work (judging by their sloppy hiring process), take the money, and then bounce. But then you’d have to say you worked for them and that’s gonna look bad. And then you could never say you were never one of the fascists who supported the regime, even if it was just to pay off/down student loans.
Yeah. I’ve heard of these at other places, and they always come with a minimum service requirement or whatever. You don’t just get it on day one when you sign up.

I could be mistaken, but I think that you have to serve for either six months or a year in order to qualify for the $50,000 signing bonus
That would make sense.

also its installments so its more like a yearly bonus for a few years.
