You joke now, but realistically the kinda thing that will cause a civil war is if Trump starts withholding federal funding from blue states over bullshit like this. If the states that prop up the US economy start getting nothing in return, and are basically paying tithe to a king, serious calls for independence are gonna start coming because those states will have nothing to lose.
