In fact, Ukraine has decided to severely restrict Telegram use
“in government agencies, military formations, and critical infrastructure facilities”
Duh. Of course unencrypted government secrets do not belong on 3rd party services. Guess what: Russia doesn’t do that either.
especially because of Russian intelligence having access to data
“Telegram is actively used by the enemy for cyberattacks, spreading phishing and malware” … “Telecommunications companies are constantly subject to cyber attacks by russian hackers.”
Telegram must not be used by certain sectors because it can be attacked. That’s different from the wrong claim that FSB controls Telegram. If that was the case all of Telegram would be forbidden for all of Ukraine and that’s not the case.

Had to check and I was migrated as well. Honestly, I didn’t even notice it because the bottom icon bar is standard in many Android apps since many years (even Google+ had it). The collapsible sidebar is a relic of ancient times. I don’t think making the icon car pill shaped is necessarily the same as liquid glass. The iPad I have to use for work has a much more obnoxious UI.

Source?
“Trust me bro”

It does not have to actively siphon the conversations to a state actor
I’m not claiming that Telegram is perfection, I’m disputing the wild claim that Telegram is a FSB tool just because the founder is Russian.

The clients for both systems are developed entirely separately.

The founder had to flee Russia for his anti Putin stance.
Telegram wouldn’t be used by Ukrainians and Ukrainian government officials if it was a FSB tool. The Ukrainian government knows better than random forum posters.

YTDLnis is a downloader for videos posted on all kinds of social media (started as YouTube Downloader, hence the name). It’s available on F-Droid. See https://ytdlnis.org/ for details.

By that logic 90% of the world would use preowned iPhones. People use Android because they like Android more than iOS.

Android powers the vast majority of the world’s phones and yet Google is still aping Apple.

How is that an SoC feature?

In one of the interviews they said that Frame is only the first of several ARM devices in development. My guess is that some sort of Steam Deck Mini is likely to launch next but once the ARM Steam client is out, tinkerer at Valve also have more options.

Luckily early next year Valve releases a version of SteamOS that runs on a phone processor. I honestly wouldn’t be surprised if Steam Frame with Qualcomm SoC is just a first step for a phone several years down the road, kinda like a non-crap resurrection of the XPeria Play.

Why TF would Google start caring about what users want now, especially since this issue is way less visible to most people?
EU Digital Markets Act. Google is already on the list. The watchdog is watching Google.

Having hacked Telegram servers on occasion is not the same as being in charge of Telegram. These are just different things.
