The word “likely” is doing insane amounts of heavy lifting, however it implies that they are more likely to kill themselves than not. Sure, the AK47 example was a tad bit extreme and I will concede that it was a bad example, but the point still stands that children should not be making permanent life-altering changes. The fact is, the cost to society and the individual itself due to detransitioning will likely be greater
