for me they’re a “last ditch effort”. If I can’t get something working correctly on NixOS then i’ll just settle for the flatpak but it’s not often that happens. for example I only have 3 flatpaks on my system one of which is discord simply because I found the voice comms work better with the flatpak than the native package.

I might end up switching to appimages though to see if they’re any better.

yes if they want you back you NEED to demand higher pay. Many companies, even some of my clients, are trying to pull the “we need you back but we’re going to pay less than what we previously paid you” bullshit thinking devs will be desperate enough to take it.

once ran into the same error when I tried reinstalling arch once and my only option to fix it was

btrfs check --repair /dev/nvme0n1p2  

WORD OF WARNING THOUGH: could result in data loss. But that did fix the same issue for me.
