Everyone is posting this too much and I feel you are “jinxing it”
They were talking about cracking the hardware LineageOS has to use, what’s wrong with that? Linux phones use all kinds of hacky workarounds. Until open source hardware really takes off, the goal is to make stuff work on these malicious devices.
So far all I have seen them say is that the new device meets their requirements. Considering that this company has a lot of power over them I would be very tight-lipped about details in case they start throwing curveballs
People generally don’t understand how much of their time wasted on fiddling with Windows could be automated
People are often convinced these things make the immune to rural burglaries, but they’re expected and remote locations often provide a lot of time to disable internet and power. You would need to be a Starlink + backup generator lunatic and even then it would just help notify + identify.
