The sad reality is any major corporation is capable of this, they need the profits to keep rising, even if they screw over their employees and customers in the process.

TLDR: this was solar mirror collectors, that heated central water towers to run steam generators. Solar PV is far more efficient and now much cheaper.

Ending investment on failed technology and instead investing in solar PV is a good decision.
