  • Fundamentally, conservatism is a system of liberalism where the law protects groups it does not bind, and binds groups it does not protect. The inevitable extreme of conservatism is fascism.

    When we say that liberalism is a conservative ideology, because in all practical applications this has been the demonstration of liberalism. There are exceptions to this, but they are modern and not fundamental. Often requiring decades and generations of evolution to right the wrongs which the practiced forms of liberalism commit to at their establishment.
