I don’t think we will ever see a good option until the absolute worst option is just out. I have always been left/liberal but I at least understood conservative principles and felt they abided by them to some degree back in the eighties (even as they abandoned debt and deficits). They have been on a long track of abandoning any priniciples they have when it comes to themselves and people literally have to be nuts to be voting for this. If the republicans went the way of the wigs I see either the democrats splitting pretty quickly or a third party start taking wins away from them. Its just not going to happen though if a third of the population is ready to vote for facism.
