Any concern large enough to force one into a nonconsensual interaction needs to be closely looked at and split up if necessary. Industrial policy that does not favor M&As is one thing that can be done right now. The “effeciency” of a business only serves the customers if there is strong competition. Otherwise that efficiency, usually at the cost of an increased differential between labor’s productively and labor’s remuneration, only goes to pad margins.
