He won’t fight Putin but he’ll pretend not to be fighting for Russia. So is he going to put US troops in there with some ill-defined “peacekeeping” role and let them get enmired in another long war? Or is he going to contrive a situation where Ukraine has to fire on them, and then portray Ukraine as the aggressor while backing Putin’s demands?
If the minds behind this are Trump and Hegseth, is there any chance there’s a coherent strategy in it at all?
