How is trying someone for femicide different than trying someone for murder? Isn’t murder (regardless of gender) already punishable with life in prison?

one could get a lighter sentence (21years to life) if it was “a gamer moment” (sometimes killing someone in blind rage can be classified as manslaughter) - but now certain acts fall under the term “femicide” (jealousy, control reasons, honor killing etc.)
