I understand the limitations of political commentary afforded to a municipal rep, even one with such a position of power, but I certainly hope these words are only diplomatic and not honest. There is no working with fascists, and I’d expect anyone who calls themselves a socialist to know that and its ramifications fully.

I hate the way they word this. As a mayor he will have to work with the govenor of his state and the president of his country to some degree. So yeah he realizes trump is a fascist but he will still need to communicate with the federal government regardless of the administration. Its like with diplomacy. Countries by and large still work with states even if they are diametrically opposed. Heck even NK which isolates itself to the Nth degree gets some sit downs.
