DHS rule would expand biometric collection to immigrants and some citizens linked to them
DHS rule would expand biometric collection to immigrants and some citizens linked to them
In about 2008 I was flying to New Zealand via LAX for a refuelling stop. We did not go through passport control but the US decided to take our finger prints and retinal scans. I am still furious.
Just out of curiosity, did you have the option to say no and be sent back to your departure airport?
Nothing was mentioned and I didn’t know what to do. As I understood it we effectively hadn’t landed on US soil so I don’t know what right they had to take that information.
Unsurprisingly I’ve avoided all travel to the US since, even before the current level of insanity.
