D’Angelo, the Grammy-winning R&B singer, whose real name was Michael Eugene Archer, 51, died Tuesday.

Kanchha Sherpa, 92, the only surviving member of the mountaineering expedition team that first conquered Mount Everest, died early Thursday at his home in Kathmandu.
Phur Gelje Sherpa, president of the Nepal Mountaineering Association is quoted, “He passed away peacefully at his residence,” Phur Gelje Sherpa told the AP, adding that he had been unwell for some time. FULL STORY
Ace Frehley, 74, the original lead guitarist for KISS and a key figure in shaping the band’s sound—with his electrifying riffs and “Spaceman” persona—died Thursday in Morristown, New Jersey.
