It’s the classic “in for a penny, in for a pound” scenario. Trump knew he was fucked if he didn’t win presidency, and will still be fucked if he ever stops being president, so there’s no more fear of making things worse for himself. He’ll do anything and everything he can think of to delay his own demise.

I worry that when the time comes for him to leave office, he’ll pull a stunt like at the end of Shawshank Redemption, but instead of shooting himself, he’ll just launch all the nukes and take us all out with him.
