Don’t know if cool or crap. Either way, I made a thing.

To make this I wet-felted wool, cheesecloth and burlap over a flat form, cut it open, then rinsed and let dry over a piece of hard plastic rolled into a cone.

    Love the look!

    Definitely cool. Especially when breeze goes through the burlap window, which would be pleasant on a hot afternoon.

    Might want to reinforce with willow to absorb the impact of falling farmhouses. And/or add a pocket for a flask. <} ;-)

      I need to add pockets to all my hats. Great idea.

      Unfortunately not a window, behind it is more wool. Wool thick enough to double as fall protection equipment and keep me warm in a blizzard.

    It’s gorgeous in an unsettling kind of way, just the kind of crone aesthetic I go for these days. May I kindly ask to be permitted to steal this way of working with felt and burlap? I’ve been doing wet felting on and off throughout my life and haven’t tried this technique yet.
