they really dont have a numbers advantage. both partys are just terrible. the difference is republicans do what their base wants. while democrats shit on their base constantly.
Sure, but the logistical reason is that Dems do better in large states and Republicans do better in small states. It’s the small states that have the edge for republicans. Also, democratic states tend to be more heavily gerrymandered already, so. So not much gain in gerrymandering more.

the fact is the largest voting group are working class indepedents, and neither party appeals to them.
Republican states can (and will) use this as an excuse to redraw their maps with 100% Republican representation.
