This reads like someone who is privileged enough that they don’t have to worry about being abducted off the street by government men in masks, or have their healthcare restricted by religious fundamentalists, or their drivers license being stripped by the state for ideological reasons.
Most of Lemmy is privileged enough that they don’t have to worry about abducted off the street by government men in masks, or have healthcare restricted by religious fundamentalists, or drivers license being stripped by the state for ideological reasons. So does that mean nothing said can be valid?
Which has nothing to do with the comment you directed towards me saying that I am privileged. You are privileged as well. You are living up to the articles title.
I think it’s fine to hate fascists. My point is that Lemmy thinks way too many people are fascists, just because they don’t agree with them. You all use the word too much. Just because someone doesn’t agree with you on something, doesn’t mean they are a fascist. You really need to look up the meaning and the history of that word.
The fact that you all think that America is fascist or that every single republican is a fascist is hilarious to me. I’m not even republican, but you guys are way too over the top on this.
Keep praying for that revolution. Because it ain’t gonna happen.
The fact that you don’t get that, sorta proves my point. But hey, you do you. I don’t hate you :)
Where did I say every single Republican is a fascist? But you know what? A whole lot of them are, or don’t care enough to be against it. You’ve said nothing of substance and misrepresented every person you’ve talked to in this thread; why would I care about your vapid opinion?
That was rhetorical. I’m not going to be responding.

No, because most people understand those are bad things that should be stopped, and there is one party in particular pushing that fascist shit.

You sure got me! Yeah. I fuckin’ hate fascists. Apparently that’s a controversial opinion with you.

And I don’t give half a fuck what you think.
