Where would we be if the opposition party had followed through on that vote in April? What if DOGE; illegal firings of federal workers; and wildly destabilizing, illegal tariffs had been enough for Congress to begin asserting their power?

    Trump has been impeached twice already. What will a 3rd impeachment accomplish? Nobody seems to have a real good answer other than theatrics.

      Under a Dem House majority. Like, it isn’t as though Al Green doesn’t keep putting up votes for impeachment. It’s just crazy to think Mike Johnson is going to whip votes for them.

      I think what is more infuriating is that Dems don’t even seem interested in the pastiche of opposition. They can’t fight this stuff out. They won’t cosponsor these bills, even. Just letting them flop in the Judiciary committee without so much as a hearing.

      You could - at the bare minimum - bog down the House with bullshit (not unlike what Gingrich, Boehner, Paul, and McCarthy achieved from the minority in the past). But then these Dems would end up on Trump’s shit list, which means they wouldn’t be eligible for pardons when Trump was feeling corruptly generous.

      At this point, Henry Cuellar is the face of the Democratic Party. This is what they stand for.
